Playoff season matches are played as a best-of-three series.

All players must be in their respective voice channels for the game to continue. Failure to do so will result in an automatic forfeiture.
Map Selection
The following map selection process will be used for the best-of-three series after the first game.
The higher record gets selection priority between Team A and Team B. A coin flip shall be administered if both teams have the same record.

Stoppage of Play
The game may only be paused for the following reasons:
Player drop
Player disconnect
Technical issues
Smurfing suspicions
Stoppage of play may be requested at any time for the above reasons. The team asking must first call the pause in chat. Then, an EZ Esports executive will determine whether the pause is necessary. A pause may not be called during combat or once the Spike has been planted. Players may not move around the map when a pause is in effect. Once both teams are ready, they will notify the moderator, who will then unpause it. Each team will have three minutes of pause time per half.

Restrictions
Blood: Blood must be disabled in game settings.
Spectators: No spectators are allowed in the game unless they are a coach or a player.
Coach as Spectators
Coaches can be in their designated coach spots. Any concerns about cheating must be reported to all VALORANT Directors.
Coaches can ONLY have their microphones during timeouts. They must have their microphones muted by the time a round begins.
Coaching or spectating is restricted to registered players for that school. Only teammates and approved substitutes are able to coach. A-team players may coach their school’s B-team. Players from other schools can not coach or spectate another school’s team.
Spectator Pausing: One person (EZ Esports Director) may pause the game if necessary. Review the Stoppage of Play Section.
Team Rosters
Each school can have an A and B team, with five starters and three substitutes per team.
Players cannot play for both the A and B teams.
B-team players can sub for the A team, but A-team players cannot sub for the B team.
All subs need to be registered before they are allowed to play.
For the substitute to play, the other team must be notified about the substitute in advance.
If a team cannot field the required number of players by the final match start time, the team will need to start the match “player down” or forfeit.
For the 2025-2026 EZ Esports Season:
Players for their school’s A team have NO RANK CEILING.
Players for their school’s B team cannot exceed Immortal 1 (50 RR) at the start of the EZ Esports season OR the episode; however, they may climb throughout the VALORANT Act/Episode.
Any player who intends to change their Riot ID must notify a VALORANT Director ahead of their game. Failure to do so will result in a forfeit of the game or a one-game suspension for the future.
If a school wants to field players from different schools under its roster, the schools must share the same campus to be eligible.
Reschedules
Reschedules must be completed before the end of the regular season. Failure to report a score by the deadline will result in a double-forfeit.
All rescheduled matches must be played within two weeks of the original date.
Any team that is not ready 15 minutes after the scheduled match time will forfeit the match.
Teams must request schedules at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time of the match.
If a match cannot be played at the originally scheduled time or is rescheduled, the requesting team will forfeit the game.
If the rescheduling is requested after the 24-hour mark, it is at the discretion of the opposing team to accept/decline the request.
Once the rescheduling is agreed upon, neither team can return to the original scheduled date. If the opposing team decides not to accept the rescheduling and the match is not played within the scheduled time, the team that proposed the rescheduling will forfeit the game.
If a team wants to decline a reschedule, the opposing team must be notified (this only applies if the reschedule was requested before the 24-hour mark has passed).
For a reschedule to be considered, the proposing team must provide at least TWO different dates and times to the opposing team. The rescheduled times should NOT be within one hour of each other. One of the dates should be different from the other dates.
Forfeits
Forfeits will happen at the discretion of the VALORANT Director. If a team needs to forfeit, they should contact a VALORANT Director immediately.
Game Restarts
Game restarts will happen at the discretion of VALORANT Directors. If a player believes a game restart should happen, a VALORANT Director should be contacted ASAP.
Technical Issues
Players are responsible for technical issues. This may include hardware, software, or internet issues.
Streaming and Spectating
EZ Esports will hold exclusive rights to broadcast any game of its choosing, including the season’s final matches. If a game is selected to be streamed by EZ Esports, a participating team in that match will NOT be allowed to stream it. Games chosen to be broadcast cannot be rescheduled and must be played at that time.
Streaming by Schools
Schools may stream their matches to their Twitch page under the following conditions:
Streams must be delayed by a minimum of 2 minutes.
Streams must be saved to the “streamer’s” Twitch page for a minimum of 14 days in the event of a match dispute.
Checks
Checks are only permitted for B teams. Suppose a team has reason to believe a player(s) on the opposing team is smurfing/cheating/in violation of the rulebook, they are allowed to request a check, which a VALORANT Director will administer. The match will be paused, and the player will be asked to stream and show their Student ID. Each school is permitted two checks per season.
If the accusation is validated, the school will have its check returned. If the accusation is proven false, the school will lose a check. Checks must occur in the first half of the match.
Players may be asked to stream and show their Student ID to a VALORANT Director before the match begins to confirm player identity. Failure to do so will result in a one-game suspension.
